Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to interventions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensure: Minnesota RN Licensure
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers, and certification in a related specialty (e.g., Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN))
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: One year of current medical-surgical RN experience in a hospital setting, with a minimum of six months of ICU experience
  • Certifications: Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing or in a related specialty
