As a key member of the Respiratory Therapy team at UCLA West Valley Medical Center, you will play a vital role in supporting positive patient experiences. Your unique experience and expertise will enable you to lead and support staff in achieving departmental goals and enhancing processes within our service line.

You will coordinate and educate team members on the latest evidence-based practices across all acute care areas, assessing and evaluating quality and workflow to ensure high standards of care. In addition, you will oversee department resources in daily operations and provide management support in the Director of Respiratory Care's absence.

The Pulmonary Lab is a critical component of our respiratory care services, and you will be responsible for ensuring its operation and quality control. You will perform diagnostic studies, compile and maintain essential data, and drive process improvements to support exceptional patient care.

We are committed to investing in our employees' growth and development, and we offer a competitive salary range of $102,500-$227,700 annually. To be eligible for this position, you must have a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and currently certified Respiratory Care Practitioner, State of California license. A graduate of a two-year approved Respiratory Therapy Program and current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) are also required.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess knowledge and expertise in all phases of current Respiratory Care Practices and Equipment, as well as skill in organizing work, staff, and resources in an efficient manner. Effective communication skills are essential, both verbally and in writing, and you will need to be able to interact humanistically with patients, visitors, physicians, hospital staff, and co-workers.
