About the Role
Southeast Dubois County School Corp is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport students to and from school. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.

About the Job
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate school buses safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. You will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. Additionally, you will maintain vehicle cleanliness, ensure proper student discipline, and perform routine pre- and post-inspections to guarantee the safety of our vehicles.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements and classifications. A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a satisfactory driving record, is also required. Furthermore, you must have genuine interest in and empathy for children, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 50 pounds, operating a variety of school buses and wheelchair lifts, and working in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating school buses safely and efficiently
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine inspections
- Ensuring proper student discipline on the bus
- Transporting students to and from school, as well as participating in extracurricular activities
- Collaborating with other staff members to achieve team goals

Salary Information
We offer a competitive salary range of $$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package reflects the importance we place on recruiting and retaining talented individuals who share our commitment to excellence.
