Position Overview
As an Attorney (General), you will undertake a variety of critical responsibilities:

Legal Guidance:
Provide expert legal opinions and counsel on:
- Intellectual property legislation, encompassing trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, and compliance with FAR/DFARs data rights acquisitions.
- The legality, interpretation, and enforceability of various agreements, including contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements.
- Issues related to litigation, including bid mistakes, protests, disputes, and claims.
- International cooperative research and development agreements and foreign military sales.
- Disclosure protocols for classified and proprietary information.

Advisory Role:
Act as a key member of acquisition strategy panels and offer advice to source selection authorities. Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory standards.

Contract Management:
Oversee major program acquisitions and procurements, including:
- Contract formation, administration, and termination.
- Management of classified contracts and technical data rights.
- Compliance with fiscal law and information disclosure to foreign entities.

Legal Documentation:
Draft and negotiate contracts and other essential legal documents. Provide substantive recommendations on proposed legislation.

Complex Legal Issues:
Handle intricate and unprecedented legal matters, delivering special assignments for the General Counsel on urgent and significant legal topics.

Representation:
Represent the agency in meetings with senior officials from the Department of Defense and other governmental entities. Participate in judicial and administrative proceedings, including those before the Government Accountability Office and U.S. Courts.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience in:
- Federal acquisition and procurement law.
- Intellectual property law, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- International law governing research and development and foreign military sales.
- Federal judicial and administrative litigation processes.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This position is designated for drug testing.
- Full-time work schedule with occasional overtime.
- Financial disclosure is required.
- Telework eligibility is available.

Education:
Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be in good standing with a state bar. A copy of college transcripts is required with the application.
