The Surface Mount Soldering Engineer will be responsible for soldering and inspecting surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards. This role requires a high level of technical skill, including experience with fine pitch and SOIC components, as well as a good understanding of IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solder surface mount components (Fine pitch, SOIC etc.)
- Solder through-hole components
- Perform visual inspection of PCBs for IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements
- Perform inspection tasks using microscopes, calipers, and micrometers
- Inspect for visual cosmetic, dimensional, and fit & function compliance
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
- Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results
