The Fitness Equation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the Kidz Gym Director and work with Kidz Gym staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus on delivering exceptional member experiences, interacting with children in a positive and age-appropriate manner.
- Promote a professional and motivating personal appearance to inspire members and encourage their commitment to personal health.
- Ensure the Kidz Gym is safely and appropriately maintained, promoting cleanliness and organization.
- Assist and supervise children during all activities in the Kidz Gym, providing a safe and engaging environment.
- Work with plans and prepare materials for classroom activities, communicate effectively with parents, and maintain developmental profiles for children.
- Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities, such as games, drawing, handicrafts, and reading to children.
- Maintain discipline and initiate measures to control behavior, ensuring a positive and respectful environment.
- Keep security records on individual children, ensuring all necessary registration forms are on file.
- Organize and store toys and materials to maintain order in the Kidz Gym area.
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Teach Super Kidz Ninja Warrior program classes and participate in all other Kidz Gym programs.
Requirements:
- Prior work experience in a daycare/childcare environment.
- H.S. diploma or GED minimum.
- Current CPR/AED certification, Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Excellent communication skills with children and adults (parent/legal guardian) required.
- Ability to make children feel secure and take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Punctual and high level of communication with club management regarding any inability to fulfill obligations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in recreation, fitness, business management or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of movement education, childhood-development experience.
