  • Department Oversight:

Accountable for the strategic leadership of the Subsurface Utility Engineering Department. Oversees financial planning, client engagement, and business growth initiatives. Organizes and directs departmental activities, ensuring effective collaboration with other disciplines and project teams.

  • Project Oversight:

Charged with the management of SUE projects. Plans, organizes, budgets, and designs tasks involving all conventional aspects of subsurface utility engineering. Guarantees the highest standards of quality and financial performance. Collaborates with team members to assess and refine data for adherence to company standards.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Department Oversight:

Works in tandem with the Marketing Team to analyze market dynamics and report on project backlog. Cultivates new client relationships and project opportunities. Maintains project timelines, reporting, and revenue projections. Assigns tasks and evaluates team performance. Ensures clarity and communication of roles within the Department.

Provides expert guidance, consultation, and peer review on projects. Monitors and enhances the technical capabilities of team members. Implements quality assurance protocols and reviews for departmental initiatives.

  • Project Oversight:

Technical Responsibilities:

Employs AutoCAD/MicroStation and various software tools. Tracks project timelines and budgets. Engages with project team members and client representatives. Prepares technical documentation and specifications.

Administrative Duties:

Evaluates project scopes and deliverables. Participates in client and planning discussions. Coordinates research activities and manages invoicing for supervised projects.

Quality Assurance:

Reviews final outputs for thoroughness and precision. Oversees drafting personnel.

General Requirements:

May necessitate travel. Requires exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor.

  • EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in SUE. Professional Engineer license in Louisiana is mandatory.

  • LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Ability to interpret and analyze technical documents, compose reports, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Capable of performing mathematical calculations and interpreting numerical data.

  • REASONING SKILLS:

Utilizes common-sense reasoning to execute instructions and resolve issues.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Involves sitting, manual handling, verbal communication, and occasional standing, walking, and lifting. Specific vision capabilities are required.
