Position Summary: The Facilities Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the timely and cost-effective achievement of business goals related to project planning and quality standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development of schedules, defining the scope of work, issuing work orders, selecting contractors, and managing the repair or replacement of various building systems while allocating the necessary resources and time for project completion.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, develop, lead, coordinate, and oversee the execution of projects in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Assess all critical project deliverables and the final project to guarantee traceability of requirements, high quality, adherence to budget, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure projects are meticulously planned and organized, including the scope of the project and communication strategies with contractors and customers to minimize disruption to production operations.
- Prepare change orders for the original project scope, secure necessary approvals, and communicate modifications to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Engage in cross-project planning to address conflicts related to project resources, schedules, and scopes.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills throughout all phases of the project.
- Report on progress, risks, expectations, timelines, and other key project metrics to internal and external customers.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to execute projects on time and within scope while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
A minimum of three to five years of experience in project planning is preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
At least two years of experience in the residential and/or commercial construction sector.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Basic knowledge of Maximo software is preferred.
