Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Sous Chef in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Sous Chef in day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless execution of menus and services.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Lead and motivate a team of cooks, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with the resort's culinary vision.
- Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and food handling practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience in a sous chef or supervisory role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on presentation, flavor, and quality.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Culinary degree preferred, but not required.
Working Environment
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods. A passion for delivering exceptional results and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety are essential for this role.
