Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our pediatric clinic team. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  • Register new patients, establish medical records, and prepare patient billings.
  • Assist patients with filling out insurance and other forms, and provide authorized information to third-party payors.
  • Collect and process routine laboratory specimens, and operate and maintain clinical equipment.
  • Maintain aseptic technique, including sterilization, disinfection, and disposal of contaminated materials.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
  • Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Computer skills strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage according to needs of the department.
Required Licensure/Certifications
  • American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) certified - CMA designation OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) registered - RMA designation OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant plus 12 month D-H apprenticeship program - CCMA designation.
  • Current BLS certification required.
