Position Summary:
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents at Grand Pines Assisted Living Center. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care while promoting independence and dignity among our residents.
Employment Type: Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available.
Shift Details:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Full-time staff will work a rotating schedule of four days one week and five days the next, including every other weekend. Part-time staff will work three days one week and two the next, also including every other weekend.
Compensation: Hourly wage ranges from $14.50 to $17.50, commensurate with experience and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care and support to residents, adhering to their personalized care plans.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain a respectful and dignified environment for all residents.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervising staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess an empathetic nature and a positive attitude towards elderly care. Previous experience or certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide, or similar is preferred. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and meet the physical and emotional demands of the role.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Emotional resilience to handle various resident care needs.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible for a wage increase after a satisfactory review period, as well as annual merit increases based on performance evaluations. Additional benefits may include participation in a retirement savings program after one year of service.
