Job Summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our store operations and drive sales and profits. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing store workload, including scheduling and inventory management.
  • Lead and manage adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support and participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage team members to achieve their role KPIs.
  • Manage visual merchandising standards in store and execute feature space and seasonal layouts.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes in store.
  • Manage and execute merchandise operations and Omni channel processes.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Train, observe, and coach team members to achieve results and participate in the performance management process.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner and promote commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production and assist with Omni channel processes.
Requirements
  • Retail management leadership experience.
Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work.
