Position Overview: The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) plays a crucial role in managing the flow of clients and their pets within the veterinary practice. This position is essential for optimizing the efficiency of the veterinary medical team, ensuring effective communication with both clients and staff, and coordinating the care of pets in a friendly and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embody and promote the core values of the organization within the team.
- Proactively attract new clients by highlighting the services offered by the hospital and managing the flow of clients and pets to guarantee exceptional care.
- Enhance the number of pets seen by the veterinary team through a well-organized and effectively managed hospital environment.
- Deliver outstanding, professional service consistently, which includes encouraging visits, welcoming clients and their pets, ensuring their comfort, and providing education on pet health.
- Inform clients about wellness plans, preventive care, and the various services available at the hospital.
- Assist new clients by completing necessary documentation, entering pet information into the system, and ensuring prompt service.
- Support departing clients by providing essential instructions, information, invoices, and scheduling future appointments.
- Oversee financial transactions by maintaining accurate records and following proper procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Comfortable interacting with various types of pets.
- May require working beyond standard hours to fulfill essential job functions, including weekends and evenings.
- Exposure to a variety of pets, with potential risks such as bites or scratches, and occasional exposure to medical hazards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old for specific duties involving radiography.
- One year of relevant experience, with a preference for customer service experience.
- Background in medical fields (veterinary, healthcare, pharmaceutical) with knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
