Job Summary

As a key member of our revenue management team, you will be responsible for executing revenue management functions and inventory strategy processes for function space, including managing inventory. This role requires a strong understanding of revenue management principles and the ability to analyze data to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy
    • Manage function space room releases, rates, and availability to maximize revenue potential.
    • Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.
    • Understand the working relationship between sales, reservations, and property management systems.
    • Monitor group inventory daily to ensure straight-line availability and maximize revenue potential for all brands.
    • Ensure that hotel group sales strategies are effectively implemented in sales and applicable reservations systems and the inventory system.
    • Determine and publish free sell dates and strategies for local catering.
    • Perform daily and weekly function space diary audits to identify conflicts and double bookings and ensure that adequate space is protected for each group's pattern, without affecting the ability to book another group immediately before or after.
    • Ensure that all contracts are collected from the sales team in order to audit space accuracy.
    • Take a predetermined strategy and drive the execution of that strategy.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
    • Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
    • Work with other people to gather the information necessary to manage projects, achieve goals, and resolve problems.
    • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
  • Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
    • Monitor RevPar, RevPos, and function space occupancy trends.
    • Assist sales and event leaders with catering projections.
    • Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
    • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
    • Analyze information, identifying current and potential problems and proposing solutions.
    • Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
    • Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Building Successful Relationships
    • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.
    • Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships.
