Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency of all production processes.
  • Assist in establishing a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program utilizing a CMMS system or similar methods.
  • Support maintenance projects related to facility upkeep as required.
  • Perform packaging or logistics tasks as necessary to meet production demands.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Notify management of any potential quality or safety issues.
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and services.
  • Engage in skilled maintenance and repair tasks for company assets.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
  • Adhere to safety practices and procedures at all times.
  • Manage the procurement of tools, equipment, and materials; operate small to medium equipment for supply delivery.
  • Utilize the work order system to keep teams informed about ongoing tasks and solutions.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in beverage production.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a safety-oriented mindset regarding workplace and coworker safety.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical operations within a brewery environment.
  • Self-motivated individual who can manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in industrial settings.
  • Comfortable working with electrical systems up to 480v, prioritizing safety.
  • Experience with various packaging and brewing machinery, including VFD programming, PLC, and HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of boiler and glycol chilling systems.
  • Experience in installing new equipment and infrastructure in production settings.
  • Basic knowledge of air compressor service.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment and system issues as they arise.
  • Construction and fabrication skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and geometry.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
  • Strong time management skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Able to work independently and make confident decisions as necessary.
  • Welding experience, particularly in sanitary welding, is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, drive, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the work shift.
Additional Information
  • Reports To: Head of Maintenance
  • Compensation: Hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Employment Type: Full-time, hourly pay
  • Job Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, with on-call availability and potential weekend or night shifts as needed.
