We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant - Certified to join our team at Samaritan Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant - Certified, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Medical Assistant - Certified will assist providers and other members of the healthcare team by performing a variety of back-office and patient-related tasks. This includes preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, great customer service skills, and the ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist providers with exams and procedures, including preparing patients, taking vital signs, and administering medications.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and other tests.
- Provide patient education and support, including explaining test results and providing instructions on self-care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of biohazard waste.
- Active license in the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant - Certified.
- Current (Healthcare Provider [HCP] level) CPR certification.
- Experience working in a clinic setting, preferably in a medical specialty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
