Staff Pharmacist Job Description

Remedi SeniorCare is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing day-to-day operational needs with the dispensing of prescription medication, adhering to our quality and customer service standards, policies, and procedures, as well as state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Process new patient referral prescriptions, preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications
  • Work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Provide client care, including patient follow-up, monitoring clinical laboratory data, and working with physicians on dosing antibiotics
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
  • Assist with ensuring safety practices and procedures are adhered to and practiced
  • Enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices
Requirements
  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in an acute-care setting or two (2) years' experience as a pharmacist preferred
  • Experience and knowledge base of intravenous admixtures services and intravenous therapy desired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as working in a team environment, meets deadlines, establish priorities, and be flexible, work under pressure with multiple tasks
