Pharmacist Specialist

As a skilled Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate administration of medications and IV solutions to patients. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to manage daily operations, supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Externs/Interns, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, hospital policies, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer medications and IV solutions to patients in accordance with valid prescriptions and established protocols.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations, including drug distribution, inventory management, and quality control.
• Supervise and train Pharmacy Technicians and Externs/Interns to ensure they meet performance standards and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and maintain readiness for accreditation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Science/Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an Accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Current Massachusetts Pharmacy Registration.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations, including Unit Dose and IV Additives.
• Proficiency in Pyxis and Meditech software systems.
