Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Providence Portland Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, taking into account individual patient needs and requirements.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications in medical imaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Oregon Sonographer upon hire, or Oregon Sonographer Temporary upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years Clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • 2 years OBGYN sonography experience for specific positions.
