Job Summary

The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and solutions for our clients. This includes developing system requirements specifications, analyzing system requirements, and leading design and development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
  • Develop technical documentation for issues and/or training.
  • Experience using agile and/or spiral development models.
  • Develop solutions integrating and extending COTS products.
  • Integrate COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.
  • Knowledge and experience with developing distributed storage routing and querying algorithms.
  • Implement storage area networks, data warehouses, and data marts.
  • Optimize storage, retrieval, backup, and retention strategies across globally distributed, high throughput, text and multimedia storage and retrieval systems.
  • Develop and deploy storage within clustered or cloud environments.
Requirements
  • Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
