Job Title: Senior System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team at Navstar. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems with exacting interface, performance, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements, system architecture, and system requirements specifications
  • Provide systems engineering expertise and develop system architecture and system design documentation
  • Support and provide guidance for system development and implementation planning
  • Develop system configuration documentation, including designs for capacity and performance planning
  • Perform engineering activities, including risk assessments and analyses of alternatives for system-related issues and concerns
Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Extensive integration experience
  • In-depth experience in system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, and technical system documentation
  • At least 7 years of experience working with network design or foundational networking
  • At least 7 years of experience working on system architecture design, building, and integration
  • At least 7 years of experience with infrastructure components (Servers, Switches, Firewalls, and other Enterprise Infrastructure hardware)
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Architect working on large complex system architectures
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows and Linux systems
  • Requirements verification traceability experience
  • Experience analyzing user requirements, system architecture, and/or system requirements specifications
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in System Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 12 years of related experience
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software maintenance
  • Experience transitioning legacy systems into new architectures
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering
  • Experience with risk management/risk register
  • Experience tracking hardware assets and/or software licenses
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology or as a member of an Agile team
