Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Exyte. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex construction documents and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed construction documents, including 3D modeling, alignments, corridors, cross sections, and plan and profile sheets.
  • Conduct independent work in the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) Engineering discipline, requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Plan and conduct site visits to ensure compliance with industry or regulatory codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with local Professional Land Surveyors to produce civil engineering drawings.
  • Research and implement local ordinances and regulations into design deliverables to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry or regulatory codes and standards, including those developed by AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, Asphalt Institute, and PCA.
  • Participate in team and client meetings to discuss project progress and requirements.
  • Support 3D modeling and adjusting between Civil 3D and Revit to coordinate final deliverables.
  • Assist in cost estimates and quantity take-offs for on-going projects, proposals, forecasts, and change-orders.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers, EI's, designers, drafters, and technicians.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Civil Design and using AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team setting to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exhibit characteristics of an emerging or developed leader.
  • Be capable of enjoying the work and keeping a positive attitude in a challenging environment.
  • Knowledgeable and productive in the Revit work environment preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and be a proactive problem solver.
  • Previous experience with large projects and industrial projects preferred.
