OVERVIEW:
The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in the architecture, development, testing, and deployment of security frameworks within the organization's IT infrastructure.
This position is primarily focused on safeguarding the organization's digital assets against potential risks by enhancing a multi-layered security strategy that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging security threats, contributing to threat intelligence and security planning.
- Responsible for the design of security systems and implements necessary improvements.
- Ensures the security and compliance of the organization's cloud environment in AWS, collaborating with various teams to embed security across the entire infrastructure.
- Evaluates attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) from security incidents across a diverse array of security tools and user systems.
- Conducts routine system evaluations and assists in monitoring network security.
- Designs and manages role-based access controls for IT systems.
- Aids in the formulation of disaster recovery strategies and conducts security drills.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of Incident Response (IR) protocols and playbooks.
- Supports the response to security breaches and conducts post-incident reviews.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with other departments to integrate security throughout the organization's framework.
COMPENSATION:
$55-75/hr
ANNUAL SALARY:
$120,000-$140,000

Preferred certifications include: Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, GCIH, GCIA.
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Security and 3-5 years of experience in the IT/Information Security sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Information Security and IT Risk Management.
- Familiarity with contemporary IT risks and security solution implementation.
- Assists in the design of security systems, providing recommendations to senior technical colleagues.
- Analyzes attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) from security incidents across a diverse network of security devices and user systems.
- Responds to security incidents and provides post-event analysis.
- Basic project management skills and progress reporting.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse personnel to support security initiatives.
- Skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
