Financial Counselor

This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations, offering a range of counseling and management services to military service members and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of personal finance, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families.
• Develop and deliver educational briefings and presentations on personal finance topics.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Coordinate and publicize a variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes to provide support.
• Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and training.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
