Salary Range: $24.50/hr. - $28.76/hr.
Position Overview: Our Urology outpatient facility is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to become a vital part of our committed healthcare team. The Division of Urology is recognized as one of the most active practice locations within the Albany Medical System. Our team comprises numerous Physicians and Advanced Practice Practitioners working collaboratively across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and document patients' vital signs.
- Record essential components of patient histories.
- Engage in open and effective communication with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Assist in in-office procedures under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Conduct diagnostic CLIA waived testing.
- Perform venipuncture for laboratory blood tests.
- Handle prescription call-backs as per the scope of practice.
- Prepare patient charts with relevant clinical information.
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure examination rooms are well-stocked.
- Comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. - required.
- Prior experience in a patient care environment - preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to effectively present information and address inquiries from physicians, patients, and their families.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensure upon hire - required.
