Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Gel Operator is accountable for managing the comprehensive operations related to gel manufacturing within the Hydrogel and Xerogel production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the decontamination and sterilization of production equipment.
  2. Handle the unloading of bulk raw material shipments.
  3. Engage in gel formulation, washing, milling, packaging, and storage of the final product.
  4. Conduct in-process testing to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
  5. Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to address equipment malfunctions and assist in repairs as needed.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the production area.
  7. Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  8. Complete all necessary training and ensure compliance with company policies and safety protocols.
  9. Document all production logs and shift handover sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing setting.
  • Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with computer systems.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Additional Information:
This position operates within a chemical manufacturing facility that runs continuously throughout the year. Candidates must be prepared to work 12-hour rotating shifts and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Participation in safety training and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
