Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee global tax obligations including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and sales and use taxes.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Facilitate the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and related financial disclosures.
  • Assist in the preparation of U.S. federal and state income tax returns, encompassing both domestic and international aspects, including computations for book tax differences and relevant foreign forms (e.g., 5471, 5472, 8858).
  • Manage global transfer pricing documentation, reporting, and intercompany transactions.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of foreign statutory financial statements and income tax returns.
  • Responsible for the timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales and Use Tax returns, as well as GST/VAT and other domestic and international tax submissions.
  • Stay updated on changes in sales tax legislation and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Lead tax audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Assist in international tax planning and mergers & acquisitions initiatives.
  • Support various tax projects as assigned, including IRS audit preparations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance tax strategies.
  • Improve internal control processes by implementing additional review layers.
  • Act as a resource for the tax director, allowing focus on strategic tax planning.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 accounting, including hands-on experience with quarterly and year-end tax provisions for large multinational corporations.
  • Proficient in preparing tax workpapers for federal and state income and non-income tax filings.
  • Self-motivated individual eager to learn and expand their expertise while taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of effectively engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax, encompassing both income tax and indirect tax.
