We are seeking to welcome an API Connect Developer to our team. This is a Full-Time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain APIs utilizing IBM API Connect.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOAP-based web services.
  • Collaborate with both front-end and back-end developers to ensure seamless API integration with various applications.
  • Oversee the complete API lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Monitor and enhance API performance, reliability, and security.
  • Implement security protocols for APIs, including OAuth, OpenID, and API key management.
  • Create and maintain thorough API documentation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for API-related issues.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze API requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with IBM EAI tools such as IBM API Connect and IBM MQ.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with IBM API Connect or comparable API management tools.
  • Strong background in API design, development, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.
  • Experience with API security standards (OAuth, OpenID, etc.).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Certification in IBM API Connect is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
