Key Contributions in This Role

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will leverage your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse professionals worldwide. Your contributions will include:

  • Assisting plant management with comprehensive HR initiatives such as training, compliance with employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance evaluation.
  • Upholding a high standard of confidentiality and ethics; showcasing effective interpersonal and coaching abilities; demonstrating organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Aiding leadership teams in enhancing organizational efficiency by assessing departmental structures and exploring improvement options; evaluating employee morale and effectiveness, and formulating action plans for enhancement.
  • Supporting the acquisition and development of talent to meet business objectives.
  • Maintaining transparent communication with both employees and management.
  • Advising supervisors and managers on identifying, assessing, and resolving employee relations challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal standards by monitoring and implementing relevant human resources regulations at both federal and state levels.
  • Facilitating effective communication of company-related information to employees.
  • Providing guidance and training for supervisors/managers and employees on HR systems, tools, processes, compliance, and policies.
  • Delivering comprehensive HR support encompassing Employee Relations, Employee Assistance, Total Compensation Resources (Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, etc.), Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, and more.
  • Participating in the execution of all HR initiatives.
  • Engaging with all organizational levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To ensure your success in this role from day one, 3M mandates the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher (must be completed and verified prior to commencement).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Human Resources and/or training and development within a private, public, governmental, or military context.

Additional qualifications that may enhance your success in this role include:

  • A Master's degree in Human Resources from an accredited institution.
  • Six (6) years of experience in Human Resources within a private, public, governmental, or military context (internship and/or cooperative experience is applicable).
  • Familiarity with payroll administration, training, and/or staffing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Word.
  • Knowledge of theories and practices typically applied to specific disciplines such as benefits, compensation, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, and operations.
  • An understanding of the assigned area of responsibility and a commitment to expanding knowledge of the general structure, organization, and business of 3M.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Cynthiana, KY

Travel: Potentially up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be available
