Key Contributions in This Role
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will leverage your curiosity and work alongside some of the most inventive and diverse talent globally. Your contributions will include:
- Assisting plant management with comprehensive HR initiatives, including training, compliance with employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance evaluation.
- Upholding a high standard of confidentiality and ethics; demonstrating strong interpersonal and coaching abilities; and possessing organizational skills to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Supporting leadership teams in enhancing organizational efficiency by analyzing departmental structures and exploring improvement options; assessing employee morale and effectiveness, and formulating actionable steps for enhancement.
- Aiding in the acquisition and development of talent to meet business objectives.
- Maintaining open lines of communication with employees and management.
- Advising supervisors and managers on identifying, assessing, and resolving employee relations challenges.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements by monitoring and implementing relevant human resources regulations.
- Facilitating effective communication of company-related information to employees.
- Providing guidance and training for supervisors/managers and employees on HR systems, tools, processes, compliance, and policies.
- Delivering comprehensive HR support, including Employee Relations, Employee Assistance, Total Compensation Resources (Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, etc.), Leadership Development, and Talent Acquisition.
- Participating in the execution of all HR initiatives.
- Engaging with all organizational levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To ensure your success in this role from day one, 3M requires the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Human Resources and/or training and development within a private, public, government, or military setting.
Additional Qualifications That May Enhance Your Success
- A Master's degree in Human Resources from an accredited institution.
- Six (6) years of experience in Human Resources within a private, public, government, or military environment (internship and/or cooperative experience included).
- Experience in payroll administration, training, and/or staffing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Word.
- Familiarity with theories and practices typically applied to specific disciplines, such as benefits, compensation, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, and operations.
- Knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility and a commitment to expanding understanding of the general structure, organization, and business of 3M.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Cynthiana, KY
Travel Requirements: May include up to 5% domestic travel.
Relocation Assistance: May be available.
