MU Health Care is seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our team as an Ambulatory Care Associate - Healthcare Professional in the Clinic Float Pool. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring patient comfort and engagement by managing multiple tasks efficiently, documenting medical history, and assisting during examinations.

\

The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires one of the following qualifications:

\

  • \\
  • Certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or\\
  • Has completed a fundamentals of nursing course, or\\
  • Nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three (3) years; or\\
  • Completion of a professional or licensed practical nursing program outside the United States and is awaiting the licensure examination in this country; or\\
  • Experience with direct patient care such as a medical assistant, nursing assistant, emergency medical technician (EMT), or surgical technician in the past three (3) years; or\\
  • Completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) training program; or\\
  • Completion of the MU Health Care CTA-A specific training through the Center for Education and Development (CED) within thirty (30) days of start date.\\
  • This position involves working in an ambulatory setting associated with an academic health system, typically Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. You will come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses, so a high level of hygiene and infection control knowledge is expected.\
  • This role requires a physical ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, move objects up to and over 20 lbs, and perform other similar actions necessary to provide quality patient care.
