Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will provide essential technical and operational support to ensure the optimal performance of our fleet, which includes both light and heavy vehicles as well as forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, operate, and maintain a variety of fleet equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, fleet trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles, ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to identify necessary repairs.
  • Address and resolve operational issues, including basic maintenance and adjustments.
  • Escalate complex issues beyond basic repair capabilities and collaborate with the fleet reliability manager to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
  • Support organizational quality and environmental initiatives throughout the site.
  • Assist in training new team members on both theoretical and practical aspects of all company vehicles and auxiliary machinery.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities and documentation, while performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Trade certificate in Heavy Mobile Mechanic or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanic.
  • Valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an apprentice in the relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Heavy Mobile Plant.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean problem-solving tools.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $40.00/hr
