Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator 3 to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into alleged violations of the Medical Practice Act and Oregon Administrative Rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate complainants to determine potential violations of the Medical Practice Act and develop investigative leads.
- Conduct detailed investigations of alleged violations, including interviewing witnesses, collecting and examining medical records, and gathering evidence.
- Educate licensees and attorneys on the investigative process and maintain open communication throughout the investigation.
- Prepare investigative cases for Board review and present testimony in hearings or court proceedings.
- Monitor and communicate with licensees under Board orders, agreements, or limitations.
- Work closely with the Licensing Unit to evaluate issues related to initial applications, reactivation, and renewal.
Requirements:
- Four years of recent full-time investigative experience, including fact-finding, evidence collection, and writing investigation reports.
- College-level courses in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Law, Accounting, or Auditing may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while maintaining objectivity and confidentiality.
- Valid state driver's license and CJIS clearance required.
