Heavy Equipment Mechanic Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading infrastructure contractor in central Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities:The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing construction and transportation equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing complex equipment issues using advanced technical skills and knowledge of engine, drive train, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Utilizing industry-standard diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
To be successful as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Specialist, you should have:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, addition, and subtraction skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
This is a field-based position that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment parts is essential. Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Estimated Salary:$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
