Job Summary:

As a key member of the Brookshire Grocery Company team, the Customer Experience Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience. This includes ensuring that front end operations are running smoothly, staff are providing excellent customer service, and that the store environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints.
  • Front End Operations: Ensure accuracy of front end procedures and proper execution of all compliance measures to protect and monitor store sales.
  • Staff Management: Train and develop front end staff on policies and procedures related to customer service, product codes, cash handling/tender procedures, use of scanners and bagging protocol.
  • Store Environment: Ensure the store is presentable for the customer shopping experience, maintain a clean and safe working and shopping environment, and adhere to Company safety procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure Company regulations and food safety standards for freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met within front end of store operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
  • Certifications: HIPAA certification, TABC/LACT certification (where applicable), Manager Food Safety certification, AML certification, and Fuel Operator C Training (where applicable).
  • Skills: Intermediate knowledge of store operations, checkout policies and procedures, state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery, anti-money laundering and other government regulations, cash register operation, and basic Microsoft Office functions.
Work Environment:

The Customer Experience Manager will work in a retail store environment, occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather, extreme cold conditions, wet, slippery or damp conditions, heights, and cleaning agents. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate noise level.
