Job Summary

Compass Memorial Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment and producing high-quality diagnostic images for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines
  • Position patients for optimal image quality
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as needed
  • Develop and process radiographic images
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and imaging results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
  • ARRT certification
  • Iowa Permit to Practice
  • Knowledge of IV contrast and contraindications
  • Knowledge of radiographic positioning and techniques
  • Knowledge of portable radiography
  • Knowledge of film and exam quality
  • Knowledge of CR and PACS
  • Maintain 24 hours of continuing education every two years

Work Environment

Compass Memorial Healthcare is a critical access hospital with a full-service Radiology Department. We have an active ER, OR, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit, as well as five clinics within our service area and six nursing homes.
