Job Summary

Compass Memorial Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines and CT scanners, to produce high-quality images of patients.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Iowa Permit to Practice.
  • Knowledge of IV contrast and contraindications.
  • Knowledge of radiographic positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of portable radiography.
  • Knowledge of film and exam quality.
  • Knowledge of CR and PACS.
  • Maintain 24 hours of continuing education every two years.
