Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Unaccompanied Minors Program at Lutheran Social Services of New York - Safe Haven. This individual will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to our team of Youth Care Workers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our young clients.

About the Role

The Program Manager will serve as a key member of our management team, overseeing program implementation, staff development, and client care. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by immigrant youth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to Youth Care Workers, ensuring compliance with all program guidelines and regulations
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program delivery and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making data-driven decisions to drive quality improvements
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusivity, and respect among staff and clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience working with immigrant youth, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $24.00 per hour, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
