Job Title: Social Work Supervisor for Youth Defense Practice

At the Center for Family Representation Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Supervisor to join our Youth Defense Practice team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Youth Defense Practice, including developing and implementing intake schedules, providing training to staff, and engaging with the Court and other stakeholders on issues of practice administration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, with at least 5 years of experience working directly with youth who have been arrested. They will also have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, including intern supervision. A Master's degree in Social Work (LMSW) is required, and SIFI eligibility is preferred. Fluency in Spanish or other languages and experience with public benefits, education, housing, or immigration are also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Youth Defense Practice, including developing and implementing intake schedules
  • Provide training to staff on issues related to youth defense practice
  • Engage with the Court and other stakeholders on issues of practice administration
  • Supervise 3-5 MSW and non-MSW social work staff of varying degrees of experience
  • Help YDP social work staff develop mastery and reinforce and build upon skills and values introduced in initial and ongoing trainings

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (LMSW) required
  • At least 5 years of experience working directly with youth who have been arrested
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience, including intern supervision
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages and experience with public benefits, education, housing, or immigration desirable

Salary Information:

The salary for a Social Work Supervisor with five years of work experience is: $92,200.
