Job Responsibilities:
The Diagnostic Sonographer, under the general guidance of a Radiologist, is responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations on both outpatient and inpatient populations as directed by a physician or licensed healthcare provider. This role is crucial for the accurate diagnosis of medical conditions in alignment with established protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess one of the following certifications/licenses:
- ARRT-BS Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS)
- ARRT-S Sonography (ARRT-S)
- Musculoskeletal Sonography (MSK)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Breast (RDMS-BR)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - OB/GYN (RDMS-OB)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Registered with one of the following organizations: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Education & Experience:
A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is necessary.
