Orthopedic Spine Specialist Opportunity

VCU Health - MCV Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Spine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our orthopedic spine service line, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring residents and fellows, and contributing to the advancement of orthopedic spine knowledge through research and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including admitting and managing patients with complex orthopedic spine conditions.
  • Teach and mentor residents and fellows in the art and science of orthopedic spine surgery.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies, clinical research, and educational programs in orthopedic spine surgery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide multidisciplinary care for orthopedic spine patients.

Requirements:

  • M.D. degree and ABOS certification/eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery.
  • Record of scholarly publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Direct experience managing complex orthopedic spine cases and competence in standard inpatient procedures.
  • Solid understanding of the orthopedic spine role and function, with interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting.
