Staff Pharmacist Role

As a Staff Pharmacist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Pharmacy Manager and leading your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Safety: Ensuring the well-being of our patients through safe and effective medication management.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice, including regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Staying up-to-date on changing regulations and ensuring our pharmacy meets all necessary standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring and improving our pharmacy's performance to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to our patients and customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Personnel Management: Leading and developing your team to achieve their full potential.
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring our pharmacy has the necessary supplies and medications to meet patient needs.
  • Financial Profitability: Managing our pharmacy's finances to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Loss Prevention: Identifying and mitigating risks to prevent losses and ensure a secure environment.
  • Workflow Management: Optimizing our pharmacy's workflow to improve efficiency and productivity.

You'll also be responsible for:

  • Leading with Heart: Displaying empathy and compassion for our patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Motivating and Developing Your Team: Balancing assignments to maximize colleagues' strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.
  • Identifying Business Opportunities: Contributing to the development of meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in your pharmacy.
  • Implementing Solutions: Leading your team to achieve specified goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • An active pharmacy license in the state where you're employed.
  • Not to be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization.
  • To be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
