Pediatric Hematology Oncology Inpatient Opportunity

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Hematology Oncology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and consultation to patients and families affected by pediatric hematology and oncology conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
  • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve clinical and system practice performance.
  • Participate in quality-related initiatives, research projects, and protocols to advance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
  • Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
  • Previous pediatric or primary care experience preferred.
  • Licensure as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Recognition as Acute Care (CPNP-AC) in Texas, Certification as Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) with prescriptive authority (DPS/DEA) required.
