Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UH-60A/L/M Blackhawk Instructor Pilot to join our team at Leidos. As an Instructor Pilot, you will be responsible for conducting flight training and evaluation of student pilots in accordance with Army regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain training records and provide instruction and evaluation to student pilots in accordance with Training Support Packages and Army regulations.
  • Conduct daily academic instruction of approved courses of instruction, including Aircraft Qualification Course, Instructor Pilot Course, and Aircraft Standardization Course.
  • Facilitate pre-mission planning and after-action reviews for all flights and simulation periods conducted.
  • Complete all aircrew training program requirements in accordance with DCMA INST 8210-1C and Army regulations.
  • Participate in no-notice evaluation programs and coordinate daily tasks and requirements of contract employees to meet missioned training requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Army, National Guard, and Leidos policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Government Flight Representative (GFR) to ensure all contractors are qualified to perform aviation-training tasks.
  • Report Instructor Flight and Operation data in the Task Order Monthly Report.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years' experience; or a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years' experience.
  • Instructor Pilot experience with a minimum of 250 military IP Flight Hours and/or 2 years' IP experience at any USAACE-approved or OASS-accredited program.
  • USAACE/AATS (or equivalent Army-approved NET) qualified IP in type aircraft for which duties will be performed.
  • Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified; or successfully graduate from a Leidos-provided ABIC course within 12 months of contractor employee start date.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • FAA Second Class flight physical required.
  • Experience as an SP, IE, and/or IP in a OASS school, MTOE, or TDA organization at the company and/or battalion level.
  • Instrument Flight Examiners (IE), Standardization Instructor Pilots (SP), Instructor Pilots (IP), and Maintenance Evaluators (ME) designations apply only to contractor pilots (Army) contracted for the sole purpose of conducting aircraft qualification training and administration of the Aircrew Training Program (ATP).
  • Must meet instructor qualification requirements in accordance with TR 350-10 and TR.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  • IP experience at EAATS, HAATS, WAATS, or U.S. Army Aviation Training Center.
  • Desired USAACE qualified Instrument Flight Examiner (IFE).
