Position Overview
The Mortgage Loan Associate role is crafted to support branch Loan Officers while preparing the associate for advancement into a Loan Officer position. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize loan application documents based on client submissions.
- Efficiently photocopy and scan necessary documents into the Loan Operating System during and after the application process.
- Shadow Loan Officers to gain insights into the pre-qualification process and the intricacies of taking accurate loan applications.
- Update loan applications with any missing information, such as lot numbers, addresses, plan types, incentives, and delivery timelines.
- Communicate effectively with borrowers and processing teams as directed by Loan Officers or Division Managers.
- Assist processors and closers in obtaining loan documents from clients and other relevant parties.
- Participate in ongoing training to prepare for a Loan Officer role through the Lennar Mortgage Training Course Catalogue.
- Apply for and successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and state licensing as required.
Additional Duties
- Maintain detailed notes within the origination computer system to ensure a complete exchange of information regarding loan applications, statuses, and customer interactions.
- Occasionally assist with the initial setup of loan files, including ordering titles.
- Engage in builder and realtor functions, phase releases, grand openings, and special events to cultivate and maintain professional relationships.
- Collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- A four-year college degree is preferred.
- Strong sales acumen and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular in-person attendance at company communities and offices during standard work hours. Candidates must be able to work extended hours in confined spaces, operate a motor vehicle, and perform physical tasks as needed.
Compensation Overview
The expected base compensation for this position is approximately $21 per hour, subject to adjustments based on qualifications and operational considerations. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and commissions.
