As a Planning Assistant, you will support the planning function for assigned projects and contribute as needed. You will be involved in managing allocated portfolios that are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful management and delivery of our projects, guaranteeing they are completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for planning medium complexity projects, a collection of smaller projects, or segments of larger initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the development of plans while considering logistics and site project constraints.
  • Collaborating constructively with the Project Team.
  • Contributing to the preparation of weekly progress reports for the project team.
  • Understanding functional obligations as per the contract.
  • Reviewing and documenting productivity to assess progress.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting sustainable design and procurement processes within integrated programs.
  • Promoting health and safety through program integration.
  • Establishing and overseeing project work plans and deadlines.
  • Performing tasks necessary to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborating towards the shared goal of achieving net zero carbon transition, taking responsibility for identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project execution.
To be successful, you will need:
  • A general understanding of scheduling management tools and software.
  • Exposure to the built environment and relevant projects.
  • A basic comprehension of various procurement routes and contract types. Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with the project team on program drivers, objectives, and challenges.
  • Effective time management abilities. Working towards becoming a chartered member of a relevant institution, with accreditation from a recognized industry body (e.g., APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA) or equivalent.
  • A valid CSCS Card.
Additionally, you should possess:
  • Attention to detail and the ability to validate and check schedule management inputs, documentation, and reports, providing basic commentary and analysis.
  • General awareness of contract terms.
  • Confidence in decision-making capabilities.
  • Skills in developing internal relationships.
  • Other relevant qualifications that meet local requirements.
