Job Summary

The Steward/Dishwasher is a vital member of our dining services team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and dining areas. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are sanitized and available for use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, including the dishroom, storage areas, and serving stations.
  • Polish silver and copper items to a high shine.
  • Assist in inventory management, including counting and stocking of china, glassware, and silver.
  • Sort and remove trash, and ensure all areas are kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Provide general resort information to guests, and offer a warm and sincere welcome/farewell.
  • Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, and assist other departments as needed.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and maintain a working knowledge of resort amenities and special events.
  • Report any safety incidents or concerns to the on-duty supervisor.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an upscale hotel or resort setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Food Handlers Certification.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
