Part-time lecturers are expected to be on campus for two full days each week during the term.

Course Structure: Seminars will convene weekly for three hours, with a maximum enrollment of 15 students. Students are anticipated to invest approximately six hours weekly in class preparation, submitting assignments for critique during mandatory one-on-one writing conferences. Professors may invite guest speakers and organize visits to media organizations.

Compensation: Salaries for part-time appointments are set at $37,500, while full-time roles offer $75,000.

Application Requirements: Interested candidates should submit a resume or CV detailing recent publications, a seminar proposal, and a cover letter expressing their teaching interests. We welcome innovative and interdisciplinary course proposals, particularly those addressing topics such as:

Each seminar proposal should include:

  • A brief overview of the course focus

Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate a distinguished record in journalism or nonfiction writing, possess effective communication skills, and have at least five years of experience in a news organization or major publications. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
