Job Description

As an Assembly Technician at NTN Bearing, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality CVJ assemblies. Your responsibilities will include rotating among various stations to perform sub-assembly operations, coordinating with team members for efficient assembly, and learning the typical 25-30 component parts making each product assembly through on-the-job training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation and Quality Control: Observe the operation of machines and verify conformance to specifications.
  • Quality Inspection and Data Recording: Record quality inspection data on check sheets and production information on daily reports.
  • Maintenance and Inventory: Move control switches to check and reset machines, and record inventory transactions using the Bar Code Inventory system.
  • Supply and Support: Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles, or conveyors.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Abilities:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Six months minimum experience in manufacturing
  • Technical Skills: Ability to complete manual or computer production records, do basic calculations and measurements, and use basic measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, and gauges with training.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions, safety rules, and participate effectively in small group discussion for continuous improvement activities.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive bending, turning, and twisting 8-12 hours a day, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Attendance and Flexibility: Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
