Position Overview
As an Information Security Specialist (Disclosure) within the Department of Defense, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of critical tasks aimed at safeguarding sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, coordinate, and assess the effectiveness of security programs across all operational locations.
2. Analyze and respond to requests for foreign disclosure, ensuring compliance with established National Disclosure Policy (NDP).
3. Formulate policies and procedures to enhance foreign disclosure support for departmental activities.
4. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to command and staff levels on security policies and their implementation.
5. Address complex security challenges and propose innovative solutions to enhance information security practices.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which includes:
- Planning and executing security programs aligned with the Department of Defense's mission.
- Applying principles of Information Security, Foreign Disclosure, and Operations Security to mitigate risks.
- Leading technical discussions to resolve security program issues.
- Advising on advancements in information security techniques and foreign disclosure policies.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Eligible for a Special Sensitive (Top Secret/SCI) security clearance.
- May require successful completion of a probationary period.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, with flexible hours and occasional overtime.

Additional Information:
- This position is eligible for telework.
